Chronicles of Riddick Sequel

Recently star of Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, Vin Diesel said that David Twohy is finishing the script for the next movie in the franchise.
I can’t claim to be a huge fan of either movie but they were both enjoyable and when the third movie comes out I imagine it will be too and while I generally don’t like needless sequels I suppose it’s better than needless remakes and in Hollywood these days that seems to be the choice you are given.
