Legend of the Seeker: Denna: Review

When I saw the title of this episode of Legend of the Seeker was Denna I knew that it was going to be good. The Mord’Sith are some of the interesting characters in the Sword of Truth Series, and without giving away too much to those who those who haven’t read the book it’s hard to say much specificly about them.

What I can say is that I enjoyed the feeling I got from this episode is how similar the Mord’Sith are to the confessors. They fulfil the same part in Darkn’Rals army as the confessor do for the other side. That two sided magic is one of the keys to the sword of truth series which has yet to be explored much in the series.

Even more interesting though is how important the Mord’Sith are to understanding Richard. On the surface, more so in the TV series than the books it appears that Richard’s main skill is swordfighting, but the brilliant thing about the books is that none of his real victories are because of the sword and one of the most important victories, through something far more important than the strength of his sword arm.
