Warehouse 13: Resonance

I enjoyed the pilot of warehouse 13 enough that I wanted to see another episode, and while this episode isn’t a large improvement over the pilot I enjoyed it more than the first episode.

In this episode they are investigating a series of bank robberies in which something odd is happening. They discover that it is a sound frequency that is effecting people.

This episode was more procedural than the last episode and I hope that they don’t fall into that rut. There are plenty of that type of show on the air already and while it is likely there will be some it will turn me off.

The plot device of this episode was also significantly enough different from the last one to keep it interesting. Rather than using historic ideas they used a scientific one. If they can continue to switch this around it will help the show in my opinion. Simply searching out something magical every week would get old.

The characters also grew some, and I am hoping that I am beginning to see the beginning of actual plot arcs, because while it is nice to have shows that people can jump into in the middle I have trouble caring much about completely episodic shows.

I’m still not sure what I think of Warehouse 13. The first two episodes have been enjoyable but it still feels as if this show could become repetitive quite quickly.
